Sooooo Ethan came home from school today and what did he find on the doorstep?? It was NAIT BEAR! Yay!!
He has come to visit with Mummy Vanessa, Daddy Julian, and gorgeous kids Ethan and Lydia.
The traveling teddy bear speading awareness about the disorder, hes been to many countries and has just jumped the ditch from aussie & stepped his little paws in kiwi soil for the very first time! He’s visiting all the kids who have been affected by NAIT! Ethan is super excited and can’t wait to show off his mate!!
Here is Nait bear with big Sis Lydia and Ethan and with Ethan and his little friends “Mr Platelet” and “M3 Red Cell”
Nait bear was very hungry so we took him to Denny’s for his din dins 🙂
Nait bear had been stuck in the post from 18th oct till yesterday so we thought he needed a checkup! The kids GP Dr Gina Kaye gave him the all clear yay! & prescribed him some cuddles!
Nait Bear having some fun with the kaleidoscope.
Nait Bear is helping get everything ready for Ethan’s show and tell project at school!
Today was quite special, we took Ethan, Lydia and Nait Bear out to Auckland Hospital and Starship. Its the first time we have been back since we left way back 6 years ago!
Such a different feeling now that we can walk the corridors without a huge weight on top of us. Ethan really enjoyed seeing where it all went down and he as well as us were blown away that he was still remembered there after all this time! it just shows the impact he had back then, they were just as happy to see Ethan & us as we were to see them it was cool they said they love getting to see how their past patients have got on! Ethan was especially happy to meet Dr Lochie Teague who works as clinical director in the Starship cancer and blood centre. He was one of the main guys helping with Ethans case back then.
