Nia Llwyd Lewis organized an event on Thursday, 1st March 2012, to celebrate St. David’s Day, the feast day of Saint David the patron saint of Wales, and to raise awareness and funds for NAIT. “I decided to sell a mountain of cakes and knitted daffodils; the daffodil is one of the emblems of Wales and is traditionally worn on St. David’s Day, and some quizzes at work. I sold 66 quiz forms, 90 daffodils and a massive amount of cakes! My friend’s sister kindly made 13 boxes of lovely cupcakes for me to sell.
The amount raised came to £250 which I’m really pleased about as I didn’t think I’d raise half that amount!!”
