Naitbabies have a stand at the Primary Care and Public Health show, the leading event for GPs, federations, CCGs, primary care and community pharmacists, nurses, midwives and other health care professionals at the NEC Birmingham on the 16-17 May. This will be our 4th major stand. Not one midwife of the hundreds we have spoken to had heard of FNAIT and we have successfully educated MANY midwives on signs to look for at birth in a NAIT baby. We have also been instrumental in getting FNAIT onto the midwifery training curriculum along with rhesus disease in Scotland and areas in London. Many midwives agreed that they would pass off signs of petechiae as bruising due to birth trauma.
Our NAITbabies volunteer Campaign team at the NEC are Stacy Corke, midwife and NAIT mum Heidi A Stone and myself Thea Palmer.
THANKS to ALL our families who sent their photos of petechiae, MRI’s and ultrasounds of brain haemorrhages’ used for our leaflets, stands and other promotional publicity!!! They have been scrutinized by thousands of people!!!!!
Many thanks to #Psigma Investment Management for their kind support in financing NB’s stands.
